It seems to be solidly made, is bright as long as your not outside on a sunny day, and with 3 volumes to chose from you'll get the sound effects you want. The learning curve is not for the impatient, as it can get a little frustrating. Overall I'd recommend it, especially for the price. It was a present for my grandson and he loves it..
