Beautiful shoes - but

This is my second set of leather shifts, which I’ve been really happy with, but these almost seemed like dress shoes. The leather and finish is excellent but they seemed stiffer than they needed to be and just too polished, like Florsheim shoes or something. They were cushioned enough but very stiff and I found while driving they often didn’t transition well from the gas to the brake pedal causing them to partially stay on the gas while I’m trying to slow down. The rubber on these soles is really “sticky”, causing them to not slide over easily. I will keep them and hopefully they’ll “break in” but I do not recall having to do this either my first set. Hence my 4 star review.

Needed half size down from my regular size. Usually size 10 but 9. 5 was the right fit in the shift.
