First I'm really positive surprised: I've read alot about power issues and not as easy to handle than a rpi. But using the Armbian OS it was basically plug and play. Within two or three evenings the first camera was already integraded in frigate. I'm still fine tuning motion detection but two cameras (both 4k recording) are no issues for the rk3588. Besides PoE+ I can also power it using my Lenovo Yoga charger (100W) or the way older HP charger (65W) via USB-C. I'd like to mention the helpfull support from arace which canceled a wrong order of mine. I was also surprised by the shipment itself took about 6 days.

These boards are excellent for belabox, iot and tinkering applications. The built in slot for an m.2 cellular modem with sim card is elite, but find the length of your module as only the shorter modules will fit. The rm520 is too long, fb350, etc. The full size HDMI capture is amazing and gets the least electromagnetic interference than the orange pi5+ and 5b+ has the emmc built in! (If you get that variant, I would every time.). Have ordered six of these for people in my organization for belabox encoders.
