Shake It Off

Delightful!

Shake It Off is spectacular! The colors are special and gorgeous; the photos and description are accurate, but they still don’t convey the beauty of this turmeric shade of yellow. The “pink” of the pretzels(!) and the salt being shaken off them is also an unusual pink, contrasting perfectly with the background color. I like many types of Zuris, but my favorites tend to depict objects in a slightly humorous/sarcastic?/ironic way. This dress certainly fills that bill! It is suitable for very dressy occasions and also casual ones. Granted, most Zuris do have this flexibility, but Shake has that certain air that makes me feel great when people laugh at(with!) me when we meet and greet. Yaller has always looked terrible on me, but my hunch was correct: the undertones-or-whatevers make Shake a flattering choice. I am so happy to have it! Partake, if you can!

Disappointed with colour and service

Colour looked brighter in photos, more yellow, less brown. I was also disappointed in the customer service, I had a query before I ordered and by the time that I got a reply - which took two e-mails - the size and length I wanted was sold out.

Fun!

I am drawn to any prints with objects, so I knew I would be ordering this pretzel dress. The unexpected color combination of mustard and pink and white is just lovely. I like the Kenya-made fabrics that are unique to Zuri: they're lightweight, have a looser weave than kitenge/wax cloth, and rare. The dress allows me to be both playful and professional. It goes from work, to dinner, to weekend outings. As a broad-shouldered 5'6" woman, I buy the long version of these dresses because I they hit a little below my knees.
