Pretty essential if you have predators around - especially cats (who quickly learn where your traps are). Otherwise you will have no dead bodies to count! However, the Counter can be erratic and occasionally not record kills. But overall it is the only way to know what you have killed if there are predators around.

Good product

The counter is a good and cheaper alternative to the smart cap. It counts the strikes and works exactly as it should!
