Azolla is not only a great chicken feed, It is an extremely interesting plant to grow. I have also found that once you get the pH set correctly ( between 5 to 7 ) the growth certainly starts to takeoff, each day the growth is very noticeable. And only use rain tank water, never water with fluoride. I also a couple of times a week give it a spray of lightly mixed ( not too strong ) Seasol, which naturally aids the root growth.

They certainly seem to be helping clear the aquarium nut do not seem to be growing very fast perhaps it is the cold weather
