It’s ok

It’s a good little camera that allows me to open the app and check on my dog. I was hoping with the tracking and Nanny features I would get more insights throughout the day, but it is very hit or miss and doesn’t pick up on most of the times my dog has gotten up throughout the day. We got the cameras to monitor our elderly dog as he is a fall risk and has seizures, so I have to remember to check the camera multiple times a day and have found him on camera splayed out from a fall with no notification of movement and still unsure of how long he was like that. So - good camera - the additional functionality has not been a good fit for our needs.

I bought this camera specifically to try to understand why my cat is intermittently urinating outside the litter box. The litter boxes are in the basement, so that is where I set up the camera. Unfortunately, there were issues: First, the cat doesn't move while she is urinating, so the recording typically stopped right before she got into position and resumed once she was done. It would be great if there was continuous recording for a minute or 2 at a time that was accessible after the fact, not just 15 second snippets. Second, the camera didn't pick up cat activity in the dark. I added a motion activated light but it didn't improve the accuracy. I am sure the camera would have worked fine if I just wanted to check in on my cats during the day. I must say I was wowed by the quality of the image. But I ended up returning it.
