HOTTEOK

Even though I’ve never had hotteok before the smell feels like a memory. Maybe the spices of brewed cider, or spice cookies? It’s an airy arrangment of spices that I associate with baking sweets. It also reminds me of instant chai mix. It isn’t as sweet as I expected, but it doesn’t smell herbal, or savory at all. There’s just enough sweetness mixed in that it leans into that baked goods scent I associate with it.

Hotteok is literally comfort in a bottle. It smells like a fresh stack of warm pancakes on a cold winter morning cinnamon, brown sugar, roasted nuts… it is delicious. 🍯✨ The cozy rice flour and sesame notes feel like a warm hug. If you love gourmand scents, this one is absolutely irresistible.
