Not Bad.....In A Pinch
I rarely rely on sample libraries, though I own a ton of them. Working in the field of ambient music, I often include droning synth beds to create atmosphere. Doom Drones are certainly tailor-made for cinematic cues and trailer music - and since the drones are generally placed as an aural foundation (read: background), it leaves plenty of room to compose your own unique creation.
However, when I worked with the sample pack in Ableton, two things I found disappointing: one, when "looped" instead of giving you a continuous sonic thread, you can hear artifacts that infiltrate the mix. Two, I wished the running time of each .wav file was longer than 5-10 seconds. In fact, I found it much easier to work with midi files that I can easily manipulate with virtual instruments to achieve that seamless tone. If you are a neophyte when it comes to ambient music, they could provide a definite shortcut, especially when employed as "one shots" and not one continuous, genuine drone.

It's exactly what the title says: Doom Drones and it sounds great. I would have liked more sounds in it to get more possibilities and different feelings.

This is triple A sound content. Extremely high production values, pristine recordings and excellent sound design concepts make this an absolute treasure trove of a library
