High quality, beautiful, but stiffer than I expected

These are beautiful shoes. Very well made, classy profile. I returned them because I ordered them too small (misread the size chart, my fault) but I am debating whether to reorder in the right size because they were heavier and more rigid than I think I might find comfortable. I usually wear softer more flexible shoes, so I may be overreacting.

Ahhhh, finally, the holy grail of shoes for my feet. I've always had wide feet, but bunions and plantar fasciitis have added new joys to shoe shopping. I feel like I had been relegated to the "old lady" shoes to accommodate all of my needs. No longer! The Ruth is darling, comfortable, and perfect for my needs. Just waiting for that mustard to come back in stock! And maybe a fun red?!? One request - the white band on the non-black shoes make them look a little more casual - going with a tan or a cork that matches the heel would create a more streamlined, dressy look. :-) Thank you!
