More brown than scarlet

I suppose I should have read the description more thoroughly because burnt sienna can mean multiple hues. We all know the images are edited so I expected a bit more red, but it's really a little darker toward brown than the photo.

Pretty, not my favorite red

This is a lovely ink, don’t get me wrong - it’s just not my favorite. Maybe if the sheening was a little more pronounced, or if it had some shimmer? It just looks like dried blood to me. Maybe good for Halloween, but again, not my favorite.
