The bladder can hold more water than it looks at least a fll bottle of water and some. It fits well into the back pocket of the chest pack. If I have one complaint, the mouth piece valve is very difficult to use. You have to depress the tip of the valve which is under a layer of firm clear silicone and keep it depressed to open the valve and drink the water. It needs eitherbe redesigned or made compatable with Camelbak hose and valve systems so you can swap out the mouth piece. Camelbak has a much more comfortable and efficient valve system.

Felt like the cord for the water kept on hitting me on the neck while running and also gave me a rash cause of the constant movement colliding with my neck

I love this. Great quality, length of hose is perfect and i live the material its wrapped in. Not sire if it really holds 40oz. But it holds plenty for a run.
