The fit and finish are flawless, so I am looking forward to testing things out. I know the steel will be perfection like every other tool from Lonon Tools.
The ergonomics of this axe for spoon/bowl carving are really nice. I like the ability to use it as a "push knife" for certain things. The beard makes that a reality.

Sharp out of the box, the spoon carving axe seems to hold its edge pretty well. Why did I wait so long to get such a tool? It's such a remarkable upgrade over a standard hatchet. The size and weight are perfect for more accurate, controlled cuts as well as holding the axe by the head to directly carve the work. Highly recommended and my new favorite tool.
