Im a stone Mason by trade and i got 2 pairs of these pants for work. In a word these pants are awesome. They are tough and somehow do not make me over heat. The baggy fit is great for mobility and airflow. I have one gripe with these pants. They are really long. If your over 6 ft tall then the extra length will be awesome. Im 5'9" and I had to hem about 3 inches off the leg. Still 5 stars because depending on who you are this could be seen as a positive. The pen pocket is a life saver. The oversized back pockets are also something that I've been pleasantly surprised by.

Awesome pants. The fabric is so comfortable for a utility pant. Appreciate the looser fit through the legs too. Got a pair in the Loden color and love it.

I am a general contractor, and really wanted to love these Devium work pant — in a lot of ways, I do. They’re incredibly comfortable right out of the gate, with a stretch that genuinely stands out. For long days on your feet or constantly moving, they feel great, and the deep pockets are a clear plus for carrying tools or everyday items. There’s a lot of promise here, and the foundation of a great pair of work pants is definitely present. Not to mention, you look great. That said, there are some design choices that hold them back from being as functional as they could be. The fit runs quite long—I had to hem mine about 3” and I’m 6’ tall — and got a 30x30. There is no practical purpose for the pants being this long. The fabric, while comfortable, tends to attract and hold onto hair (like cat hair) more than any other piece of clothing I own - which can be frustrating depending on your environment. If you have pets it’s worth considering this. In comparison, my Carhartt pants do not hold onto any pet hair. From a utility standpoint, a few things could be improved. The double pocket setup on the left side feels like a missed opportunity—it would be far more practical on the right side, or ideally on both sides for better accessibility. Similarly, the side pockets sit way too low, especially on the right side where it falls just above the knee. This makes it awkward to access items like my utility knife and uncomfortable to carry anything with weight. The tool loop on the right side also feels unnecessary—it tends to get in the way more than it helps. You really only need one tool loop on a pair of pants, and that’s generally situated on the left side. Small hardware issues popped up early on as well: the zipper got stuck frequently during the first few weeks (and still happens from time to time) and I’ve already started to notice some moderate fraying along the seams (after 3 months) which raises questions about long-term durability. I have serious doubt about these pants truly holding up for a year let’s say, of everyday work. One other thing to note is that the pants do shrink a bit after washing, so sizing with that in mind would be wise. Overall, these pants strike a great balance in comfort and have some thoughtful features, but they’d benefit from a few practical adjustments to really meet the demands of everyday work use. With some refinements, they could easily become an unbeatable pair of pants.
