It is more sensitive than your significant other!
I bought the Solis Digital Pocket Scale because I wanted to measure both the quantity of coffee used and the amount of espresso coming out of the Gaggia Classic that I have. To be honest, I chose it because it was the least expensive of the options at Whole Latte Love. However, I am pleased with its size, accuracy, and easy to read display. It measures to 1/10th of a gram and I now realize that I had been running too much water through each time. Thank you WL^2.

OK, but not great.
Great price and nice size to not take up room on the counter. If you consider that this is marketed as a pocket scale, one that you would use -occasionally-, then I think this is 4-5 stars. I was just looking for something smaller than a regular kitchen scale, so, I’m likely not rating it 100% fairly. Good: Accurate. Tested against another scale and I note that it is accurate to the gram at least. Nice to have fractions of grams - You can really nerd out on the varying weight of a coffee bean! Also, nice that the screen (numbers) are lit as opposed to gray scale (I think that’s LED vs LCD, but not sure) - it makes it easier to see when the numbers are small like they are on this one. Needs improvement: You will want to go shopping for some rubber “feet”. This thing slides around as it has no anti-skid rubber and the plastic is very hard and slick. I found some stick-on rubber fee in a drawer - like almost the size for a stand mixer and used those They make the scale much less of a pocket scale (but still a travel scale, no problem), but make a 500% improvement in the usability of the scale. I’d say get the biggest, most “rubbery’ ones you can find. You might have to cover the battery door on the back, but just don’t apply the adhesive over the door part (you may have to apply to the whole area, then remove when you need to change the battery and then re-glue but only to the chassis). I also don’t like the buttons. The power button is nice, but the tare/zero button is too stiff. Minor complaint and if you turn the scale on with the bean container (or whatever vessel you are using to weigh things) on it already, it auto-zeros, so you don’t really need that button very often. Careful, it is so light that the sleeve of your shirt can knock it on the floor = especially if. you don’t have any non-skid feet on it. If I remember the scale did not come with batteries. I’m totally okay with that. Best to put in fresh ones that are the brand you like. I can’t assess the durability - I haven’t had it long enough.
