Let me start with the good: The DBrand Killswitch for the Xbox Ally adds an extra layer of protection and functionality (kickstand) to the device. The Killswitch case itself feels like a combination of soft yet grippy yet sandpaper-y… which feels great in my opinion! I got the bundle that includes a travel cover, stick grips, and two unique skins. The stick grips feel great and are extra grippy due to a multipoint pattern on them. The skins are okay, I was pleasantly surprised that one of them was textured in some sort of embossed print! Now onto the bad: This thing was a pain in the *** to put on and trying to remove it is just as difficult if not more so! I got this Killswitch thinking its ease of use would be the same as the Switch 2 version, nope! The kickstand while nice to have is not removable and makes for an uncomfortable fit in a travel case or some bags. The travel cover for the Xbox Ally version is also notably lower quality and not as friendly to use as the Switch 2 version which uses a nylon cord and hook in its design (plus *removable* storage for games!). So here at the end and as the title says, the DBrand Killswitch for the Xbox Ally really feels like an extra outer shell for your device. I like what it does but is a letdown compared to its Switch 2 counterpart which was overall easier to use and much more travel friendly.
