Great Jacket and 1st class customer service
I always think that the best way to judge a retailer is to see how they respond when things go wrong. This was the case with my order of a Sigvard jacket. Evri managed to lose my parcel and rather than advising me to wait a few days to see if it showed up Jottnar immediately refunded my postal cost and sent out a replacement for next day delivery with another courier. What an excellent response.
As for the Sigvard jacket I think its great. I was worried about the ‘athletic fit’ (read that in a review somewhere) as that doesn’t describe my body shape. Im not a protein beast but if clothing is going to be tight on me its generally across the shoulders. Trying it on over a tee shift the fit was spot on. I then added a medium weight fleece and although this made the fit more snug it was still comfortable without movement being restricted.
I really like the stretch cuffs - no fussing about once you’ve put the jacket on. The sleeves and body have been lengthened on this model from its predecessor and they’ve got it spot on. And finally the lightweight material is just what i was looking for. I have heavier softshells for winter wear but i think this softshell will be in my pack for most of the year. Cant wait to get out on the hills with it now.

Great quality, lightweight softshell
It would be hard to not love this jacket - it is the pared down softshell that everyone needs in their bag. Make no mistake this jacket is more lightweight that some softshells but the quality of construction and fabric shine through. Bravo team. great job.

Nearly Perfect
The quality and finish is superb as with all Jottnar’s clothing. Breathability is good and the fabric has a nice degree of stretch. For my body shape the fit wasn’t consistent with other Jottnar pieces I own, the Asger and Floyen. The Sigvard is narrower across the shoulders and forearms which caused the sleeves to ride up when reaching for hand holds. I found this out too late to exchange so, if you have broad shoulder’s, I would recommend buying the next size up from your normal size. Fit through the torso is trim and pocket positioning perfect. Usual Jottnar attention to detail make this a really nice soft shell to own.
