Awesome Speakers!
I purchased these SVS Evolution Pinnacle speakers from SVS for my 2 channel audio system and have been highly impressed with them since the moment I received them. The packaging was well thought out and the speakers arrived in perfect condition. The fit and finish was top notch. I have them paired with my new McIntosh MA352 integrated amp and the sound quality is awesome. I am totally happy with my choice to buy these and am looking forward to years and years of quality listening.

Reformed “audiophile”
I have an excellent front end powering the Pinnacles…plenty of power and control. I’ve been devoted to audiophile brand speakers for years and increasingly found myself listening to sound qualities rather than music. I decided to try a different approach and ordered the SVS Pinnacles, expecting to return them under SVS’ very generous return policy. I ended up shocked by my reaction following a very short break in. Groups like Ghost Rider displayed their full talents in the most gratifying manner. Violin pieces were exquisitely sweet without harshness. Orchestras displayed their power. Instruments were in their proper place…the soundstage was appropriately wide and defined. Voices were enjoyed rather than analyzed. I’m very pleased and will be keeping these fine speakers. A knockout punch, especially at their price.

Outstanding SVS Speakers and Subwoofers
I am in the process of upgrading my theater room to also be a dedicated 2-channel listening room. I have been taking room response measurements with my SVS Ultra Evolution Pinnacle front speakers, center channel, and two SB17 subwoofers for about two weeks now. I am driving this all with an 8-yr old SONY A/V receiver until I purchase new Anthem STR preamp and amp separates to complete the upgrade. All I can say so far is that I absolutely love the SVS Ultra Evolution Pinnacle line and your subwoofers. Keep in mind that managing room acoustics is half the battle. I downloaded the free copy of REW measurement software (please donate to these guys - this is awesome) and got a good USB calibrated mic. With a little practice and following some theoretical guiding principles, I took tons of measurements to prove I found very good placements for speakers and subwoofers, and I adjusted what I could (speaker levels, sizes, crossovers, distances, etc) with my old SONY A/V, and I have already reached nirvana! Thankfully, your subs have plenty adjustments on their own, and this really helped my initial setup. I don't even have independent subwoofer outputs yet (I will when I get the Anthem STR preamp), but after adjusting what I could, this system already sounds incredible. I was amazed at the improvement! Lower bass sounds are very full but not boomy in any way. Kick drums and other percussion sounds are crisp and in your face, as well as bass guitar notes. The vocals and other instruments in the mid-range are more defined, and I can finally sense the sound imaging that people talk about. I can literally picture people and instruments at various positions on the stage as I am listening. Symbol hits and other high frequency sounds are exceptionally clear without sounding harsh. Some people speak of listening fatigue when these frequencies are over emphasized. Not happening here! I am super happy so far, and I am looking forward to listening to other music and watching some movies with this current setup before I integrate better preamps and amps. I am happy to share details of room dimensions, speaker positions, etc. that resulted in such a great sound so far. My room is sort of 19' x 26', but not really. It opens up to an angled seating area to the rear and then on to a hallway past that, plus one side opens up to a bar area and a glassed-in workout area with angled and curved surfaces, so nothing is rectangular or "regular" in any way. I bet yours isn't a nice perfectly rigid rectangle either (or, the theoretical spherical cow - I love you physics geeks. I'm a geek too so I had to throw that in). So, I highly recommend everyone invest in learning about room acoustics and taking measurements so that you get the most out of outstanding products like SVS speakers and subs. I am super happy I made the investment, and for me, it just gets better from here with the right preamp and amp driving your awesome speakers. Thanks for doing what you guys do!
