The #23 tin ceiling tile is a dramatic pattern salvaged from an early 1900s schoolhouse in Duluth, Minnesota that was destroyed by fire. A unique floral emblem, it has a large centerpiece surrounded by four diamonds filled with sunflowers.

Tin Ceiling Pattern #23
We used pattern #23, partly because it is modeled after a schoolhouse in one of our favorite places, but mostly because it's beautiful! We chose the unfinished tiles and it was very easy to seal ourselves. My partner was sceptical of the measuring tool and ordered two extra tiles, just in case. Turns out the tool was accurate and we have two extra tiles now. We used tin snips to cut the tiles and would recommend wearing gloves while doing that. There was a little trial and error while we determined the best way to fasten the tiles to the ceiling and ended up adjusting the brad nailer to the correct depth and got them installed seamlessly. The end result is stunning and it's definitely a focal point of our new bar area.
