Smells as good as one did 15 years ago
The last time I purchased a portfolio was almost 15 years ago. It didn't survive Hurricane Ida and it's taken this long for me to getting back to where I could afford a new one.

Leather Isn't As Nice as I Remember
I ordered a similar portfolio as a gift several years ago - and I remember the leather being of a higher quality than this. Previously, I remember the aroma of leather would saturate the air when opening the Levenger box as you were greeted with a thick sheet of leather covering your folio. The visual, tactical, and olfactory senses fell short on this recent purchase - quite disappointing. The leather of this folio seems to be well done (although the crooked stitch embraces the hand-made, small-batch nature of this portfolio). Overall, this purchase left me underwhelmed and fell short of my expectations.
