Comfortable but not attractive

I like these for convenience and comfort, but my daughter says they look frumpy. There's too much material in front. I wish I had returned them because there must be pants with a similar functionality that look better. For reference I'm 57yo, 5'6", 134lbs, and got a Medium. Maybe a small would have been better, but I don't think so.
