Dark Roast

I really was excited about this coffee because the advertisement was just something that touched my spirit. I am sad to report that this coffee is very oily which I did not want. I thought that was one of the things that they focused on was creating a depth in a dark roast without the oily. I have a Breville espresso machine and oily beans clog it up like most home espresso machines. Despite the oily, I was optimistic about the flavor. Again, sad to report that this coffee is extremely bitter. I’ve adjusted my settings to improve the output and it’s just a bitter dark roast with no true flavor tones that I could discern. I’m going to let it dry out a little bit and I don’t know if that’s going to help . I’ll keep adjusting and if there’s any improvement, I’ll come back and make an update. But for now, I cannot recommend the dark roast.

This my new “goto” bean. My previous roaster stared using plastic to ship the beans in and that made me very unhappy. I tried these beans and i now will only use these. Fantastic espresso and pour-over, too! I suggest you try them out for yourself. I do think you will be convinced too.

The taste is some of the best I’ve ever had. Keep up the great work. I love products like this.
