This stuff packs a punch. Very creamy breakdown but work it in with small scoops. Not overly drying. Brings the texture with a mild inoffensive scent. Seems like it would serve shorter hairstyles better but could be worked into damp long hair too.

My go to for a matte finish for many years was American crew fiber, but at some point it changed and got more greasy and didn’t work as well. That drove me to try many products and eventually this. ~10 containers in I love this product, it’s got the look and hold I like, and has held up well to long days and climates all around the world. Hopefully no one changes the recipe and I won’t have to hunt for this same thing in another decade

My Favorite Matte Paste

Love Arcadian Matte Paste. The hold is just right. Washes out easy with just water. Has a true Matte finish if applied in dry hair but a slight shine if applied in damp hair. I also love the pumpkin spice scent this time of year. Great product. 👍
