It worked!
Bought for my son as a last resort before medication, in preparation for his residential at school. First couple of times we had to physically wake him up as he didn’t respond to the alarm (he’s a v heavy sleeper) but after that he started to respond to the alarm and after 2 weeks had no accidents… amazing. He has started to wake up himself and get up in the night, we continued to use it for a few weeks (as suggested) but he is still dry now after another 3 weeks. We are very pleased.

Improvements
My son is a month into using this alarm and improvements are noticeable. Frequency in wetting has gone significantly down, he occasionally wakes up and switches off the alarm himself. The alarm is really sensitive to moisture, so sometimes he doesn't even get wet at all, he's able to hold and get to the toilet, which is brilliant for his confidence. So far so good, only good things to say about it.

It works!
The week before this alarm arrived one of our just-turned 8 year old twins had soaking sheets almost every night, as a really deep sleeper. His brother has been dry for years and it was now starting to bother him enough to really want to take action. The first week we immediately saw progress - he was starting to wee but the alarm would go off, he’d stop himself and go to the toilet. By week 2 he was having a few dry nights. By the end of the first month he had had 14 dry nights in a row and we have been able to stop - not a single leak since. He wakes in the night normally and takes himself to the bathroom. Amazing result! I think it has helped that he was motivated - he took total responsibility for the alarm himself; I helped position it for him in pants each night but he set the alarm, cleaned and put away the sensor every morning and ensured he had it packed when we were away overnight. That ownership I think really helped him feel like he was controlling this process.
