Frame seems to be very sturdy. Not liking the slats, so got a bunkie board instead.

Great looking bed!
This was a great choice. Noiseless truly and easy to assemble if you choose to do so. It fits a variety of matresses, just be sure to look at the interior dimensions. I matched this with another EWG Certified Organic Matress and it fit flawless. The bed is definitely sturdy but not bulky. I would highly recommend and purchase again for another bedroom.

The instructions were not very clear and created issues when assembling. Ultimately, I gave up and had a pro assemble but there are some scratches on panel due to difficult assembly and maneuvering of headboard. Also there is gap and discoloration between the post and headboard
