Perfect distraction.
My doggy loves this forager mat. As a senior dog this keeps her entertained, busy and active. I place some treats on the mat and she enjoys looking for them. She also likes napping on the mat once she’s done playing with it. This forager mat really does stay in place while in use, thanks to the small rubber dots on the reverse side. Another plus is how easy it is to clean it. The only regret is not getting it sooner.

Slowed down speed of food intake
My pup got food bloat every time he ate. Now he has to sniff out the food which has slowed him down so no more bloat. At first he didn't know what to do with the mat and had started to rip out the grey tassels. I decided to leave some kibble on top and then he figured out how to get the rest. No more ripping and tearing, just foraging.

Great fun for our old dog
Our foster dog (14 years old) is blind and loves eating from this mat (prefers foraging to eating from a bowl). It helps to keep him from eating too fast. It’s great for travel too.
