Many years ago, my grandmother was named Lady of The Autumn Leaves in Leavenworth (sort of an honorary title and parade position.) She was a well-known gardener and the Portland Rosarians named a variant after her. Almost 30 years later, I asked if they had any knowledge of where I could find this variant, to plant a memory garden in her honor. They worked with Heirloom to get me a start of it, and now it’s flourishing in the short-lived Minnesota summer. This meant a huge deal to me, and Heirloom was helpful with the acquisition and planting tips!

Sweet Sheer Bliss

This rose arrived in April as a whispy little thing with small bronze colored sprouts waving around. She was planted immediately with the OmniMeal and Natural Aged Cow Manure and now, in May, the leaves are still growing out and turning green but the canes are sturdy enough for her first bloom. It is truly a joy watching a new season of beautiful roses. Thank you Heirloom for providing healthy plants and all the extras to make them thrive.
