The Thorn looks unassuming, but....
The Thorn looks unassuming, but it has everything a good safety razor should. Its weight makes it well-balanced in the hand. The angle to the face is perfect. The blades are very easy to insert and are well protected within the razor. This makes it virtually impossible to cut yourself with the edges of the blades. I used the Thorn with the Leaf blades on my three-day stubble. Due to its slightly more aggressive nature, it's ideally suited for this, but it's not an everyday razor. It's a good complement to the Twig, which is milder and therefore better suited for daily shaving. The Thorn and the Twig are among my favorites, each with its own purpose.

Single edge razor difficult to load for a rheumatic senior !
The razor shaves nicely and that’s what it is all about! As a senior, however, I have rheumatoid arthritis, so adding and replacing a blade in the single edge razor is quite difficult! There seems to be no magnet, or the like, to hold the blade in place and assurance of placement is a bit difficult!
