Excellent garment. Oversize and lined with warmth. I use it for everything from taking the dogs outside first thing in the morning (-30 Canadian winters) to ice baths to just sitting outside by the firepit. As always with ThruDark every attention to detail is thoroughly and meticulously constructed. As a utility jacket, I wish I had this thing when I was doing police check stops and roadside checks on cold winter nights. This would’ve been perfect, slap the department patrol patch on the shoulder and job done!!

Quality build. Looks badass. Looks smart with a body warmer under it, and rugged with a hoodie.

While it is much heavier built than a changing robe and its very warm (plus has a nicer cut and looks cool) i cannot give it a 5 star review because the zip really lets it down. Given the price you pay for it, the zip often either diesnt thread properly and becomes jammed, or wont unthread properly and has to be wiggled carefully to relesse it without damage. I bought this for use on a boat with heavy gloves in rough weather, if the zip jammed in those circumstances it either wouldnt be getting done up or would be staying stuck on - kind of defeating the “keep your kit on drop it and go” purpose this is meant to fill. Bit of a disappointing flaw to an otherwise good product, but its very annoying. My HUUB dry robe seems to have a similar zip but diesnt have this problem, so im not sure whats wrong with it.
