Detour Backpack Black

Con: Love everything about it except for the straps, definitely not padded enough, they need to be much thicker. Pro: sooooo much space, fits everything I need neatly in compartments instead of throwing everything into a giant space and digging to find it. Love the side pockets to fit my water bottle. It looks way more expensive than it was, and seems to be pretty durable so far. Overall very satisfied.

It’s an absolutely beautiful leather backpack. Love all the compartments it has. I will definitely be buying other items from this company.

So I have mixed feelings about this backpack. I'll start with the pro's - the quality is amazing, the faux leather and lining is phenomenal. I love the color, the look, the gold everything. - the space and storage is probably unbeatable. I don't know any backpack that could measure up! Cons - the zipper doesn't feel always as smooth. I think it's the shape of the dome that feels a tiny bit rough in places. I'm careful with it though and paid enough to where I'll just continue to be extra careful that way I don't risk extra wear on the zippers - I'm 5"1 so the smallest tightest wear on the straps still puts the backpack hitting the top of my butt when I walk which is pretty annoying. I don't like feeling that and unfortunately I can't make the straps any smaller. I've already started looking into leather shops to help me shorten the straps so I can use it as much as I want to - I personally don't know that the straps can actually carry the weight of the bag when it's packed full with heavier items like electronics and media stuff. I'm a media person so I've got my labtop, little mics, phone chargers etc and all of it starts feeling really heavy when it's just packed not even halfway. I'm not sure if it could handle with its current straps like the weight of adding my yeti full of water and other things. I do run heavy when I pack though, so it could just be me. Overall I really like this backpack and like it enough to keep it and find ways to fix the things that aren't quite working for me. So that says something. I would normally just return things I really don't like unless I think it has real potential to meet my needs. I think this does it just really sucks that as a shorter person I can't fix the straps and will probably need to throw down some more to make it work for me.! That in itself could fix the other things... since I feel like I'm just off centered a bit when carrying it as is. I'm hopeful! If you're taller than me and need a big bag I think it'll work great !
