Really good overwintering cabbage, tolerant to freezing
This savoy cabbage can be a slow starter but it’s the best cabbage I’ve grown for overwintering. It can tolerate being covered with snow. It keeps well in the fridge. We are eating the last of our 2024 grown Deadon now, in June of 2025. We’ve grown it in Juneau AK and northwestern Oregon. It’s big, attractive, and delicious fresh or cooked.
