Keychron M6 Wireless Mouse

Great mouse -- my workhorse

I own several of these -- specifically two "m6-a1" model and one "m6-a33". This is my workhorse mouse that I use in every setup: my work setup, my at home setup, and I keep one in my backpack for on the go (work/home connect w/ receiver; backpack connect w/ bluetooth). I just placed an order for a fourth for a separate computer at my office. Reliability/Quality (Over sample size of 3; first one bought ~8 to 12 months ago): No issues with any of my mice. There was one transient issue when one of them looked like it wasn't charging, left it plugged in for a while, resolved, never re-occurred, never observed on any other copy. Ergonomics: I love how light the mice are and the ergonomic shape works for my hands. As a non-gamer, I was initially worried that it would feel too light and pre-purchase wished they had spent more weight on battery capacity. After owning it, my view has completely changed. As discussed below battery is a non-issue. I've become addicted to the low weight. Now when I pick up a logitech m650 L, it feels like brick. I was actually a little sad to find the newer SKU m6-a33 (with the shiny wheel) was 10% heavier (the did increase battery) -- I noticed the weight difference immediately (as a whole, not sure which sku I prefer). Configuration is great: The "launcher" configuration webpage works flawlessly (connects to device with HID permission in chrome/etc) -- I'm glad that I don't need to install anything to install anything to configure. Some gems from my configuration -- scroll wheel side press to mac os mission control, horizontal scroll wheel re-mapped to switching desktops. Battery life (by reporting rate): - At 500hz + receiver: battery is notably much better than expected and better than specs would have suggest. This was my biggest pre-purchase concern and it is a complete non-issue. My experience suggests that it is considerably better than twice the life at 1000hz. Very happy at this configuration. - At 1000hz + receiver: battery is considerably shorter, in line with specs, but nothing crazy. This was my initial configuration. Switched to 500hz, much happier. As a non-gamer (software engineer), mouse movement at 500hz is still _noticeably_ smoother than a cheap mouse with a lower report rate. For my productivity application, this seems like the sweet spot. I honestly cannot tell a difference to the smoothness switching to 1000hz.

Excellent replacement for former MX Master users who didn't need the entire suite of features from Logitech, or anyone searching for a highly responsive mouse with versatile connection abilities. I forgot my adapter at work so I just grabbed a USB-C cable and jammed that sucker into the desktop, and it worked!

Terrible Quality Control

The first M6 I bought arrived with mousewheel dead. After a slew of emails about how to fix it at home (none of which worked, of course), it was finally returned and I received a replacement. After a month of use, the mousewheel broke again. The mouse is great when it works, too bad it doesn't. Only very rarely I see QC this abhorrent.
