I could not be happier with my new jacket. I did a lot of online research before purchase to work out that this was the right choice for me - down to the manufacturer and specific model - as it's a considerable investment, especially without being able to try on before purchase. I was aware of Silvermans' reputation as a military kit shop, but had reservations about their online service. I really needn't have worried... I'm very happy with both the jacket and the vendor, from first enquiry to fullfilment and also refund after I got the size wrong at first - despite their best advice. I was looking for quality (thick) leather, patch pockets, removable fur collar topper and crucially, available in the UK for easier returns to get the sizing right. I'm happy - and relieved! - to share that neither the jacket nor supplier disappoint. The LC5331X pays homage to classic flying jackets without being a die hard replica. The leather is thick, well finished and smells lovely! It loosens up nicely with wear. I have no doubt it will last decades and could be passed down to the next generation. Silvermans could not have been more helpful throughout this purchase. They were happy to send me measurements prior to purchase. The first (smaller) jacket I ordered had a clunky but solid zip, whereas the second was fine. I ended up keeping the larger size; the return and refund was processed super fast. I take a 44in chest and 36in waist. The XXL was a great fit around the belly, but just too tight across the shoulders. The XXXL is more comfortable across the shoulders/arms and a tiny bit longer in the body, but a touch loose at the waist. That was the better choice for me, but I do have a broad chest. Ideally, I'd want a XXXL chest with a XXL waist, but that's getting into the realms of tailor made kit! If you want an aviator style leather jacket without needing it to be an authentic A2 or G1 replica, then this is a good quality choice. This was not an impulse purchase and I'm so happy to say that Silvermans turned out to be a great online shop. I'd buy it again without hesitation.

Excellent customer service from Silvermans I ordered the large version of this but it was a bit small for me so i returned it and got a replacement sent the next day. The jacket is very good quality and really nice leather , good pockets and strong zip very pleased with the purchase.
