A quality noter can make all the difference when you're learning to play noter-style dulcimer. Our dulcimer noter is made of solid black walnut (5" long, 1/2" in diameter) and is easy on the hands. We experimented with lacquering our dulcimer noters, and found that they slid just as well (and were a lot easier to hold) if we left the wood

Great
I love these noters. I can tell the tone quality is better with walnut noters and yours are high quality. I’ve tried bamboo and I’m not a fan. Glass is good with my dulci-jo. Walnut is the best.

Nice noter
Recent hand problems have convinced me to finally learn noter and drone style dulcimer. Shouldn't have waited this long! I already had a couple of noters but wanted to add some to find a good one for me. The Folkcraft noter is nice and light, smoothly carved and feels good in the hand. Very reasonably priced and shipped quickly. Thanks!
