Not sure if you shipped the correct fork to me

The Oath Spinal Fork SCS that customer service told me would fit on my scooter ended up being too long to fit. The compression bolt bottoms out before tightening down on the clamp. In order to ride it, I have to use an extra bearing on the bottom to make the compression shorter. Is there a more secure way to make it fit, or did I receive the wrong part?
