I’m very satisfied with my Netgate product. It has been reliable, stable, and performs exactly as I expect in my network environment. The configuration options are flexible without making the system unnecessarily complicated. Overall, it has proven to be a solid and dependable solution.

Still working and I love controlling my own router

I enjoy running my own router so I know exactly what is on my network. It is easy to understand and configure. I run multiple VLANs very easily with pfSense. I don’t think I would ever leave.

Backup/Restore Needs Improvements

Migrating from an old firewall running pfSence+ to a new appliance. Used the Backup/Restore approach to transfer current config to the new appliance. The setting and configurations were restored but not the apps. I had to restore those manually.
