Sturdy, appears well made. Larger cloves have to be halved before this will adequately mince them. From the pictures this appeared larger than it actually is, handy for doing small amounts, but if you have a lot to mince, a sharp knife is faster.

You need to chop the garlic into smaller pieces and use a fair bit of pressure to crush the garlic. But I haven’t used this style before so maybe that’s normal?

This Garlic Press didn't work at all as I expected. It wasn't sharp or handy. It didn't really cut the garlic as much as it just smooshed it, leaving hard-to-remove pulp on the underside. I have much better results with a fine-mesh grater. It takes up a lot of drawer space, too, so it will be donated to the thrift store. Most of your products are winners, but this one didn't make the cut.
