The radar detector itself is great but

The radar detector itself is great. Picks up police radar from a long distance. However, the 2 sets of suction cups included with the purchase are terrible. Living in a hot and humid climate, it constantly falls off the windshield. Uniden should offer a system that attaches to the visor.

Very good detector!

I have used the best from both of UNiden's major competitors before buying the 8WR. I really like the Uniden. It has outstanding range and detection ability; the most important things a dectector can offer. My only quibble is that "bright" mode isn't quite bright enough for my 124 Spider when it's sun's up, top's down.
