It's a little too early to give it 5 stars. The unit has a lot of options/choices and does require some time to put it all together. I'm not there yet. It would be nice if a data base (narrative) was available by State as to what types of radar are dominate and new. Customer tech support was very helpful in helping me update the software. This is the 4th Uniden I have purchased...that in itself says something.

I've had this radar detector for about 2 weeks now and I am very happy with it. I used to have the r1 and I'm glad to upgrade too this R4W. I like the fact that it links up with my phone and the app from Uniden it has a lot of better features than my older one did and after asking my Google AI about all the different features I was able to set it exactly to my preferences with out that much trouble. It's pretty loud and I like that has features like auto dimming and auto memory mute and stuff like that that are helpful. Hi I had my old one mounted on my rear view mirror but it's shaked and wiggled so I use the included large suction cup window mount and that works very well. I also have the hardwired mute button right above my steering wheel or in front of my gauges on my Camaro so that is helpful also. It makes you feel a lot more confident if you are going a little over the speed limit and keeps you aware of real time things like road work speed cameras and so forth. I'm happy with this investment and I know it'll save me money in the long run.

Got the product very quickly after ordering. Instructions and registration very easy. It paired to my phone and app easily. Now we just have to see how well it detects.
