An upgrade with some flaws
The material and overall look of the bag are definitely an upgrade from the previous version. I love the big zipped shoe pocket at the bottom. The snaps on the pockets are very flimsy, however, and don't stay closed. The side pockets are too shallow for a decent size water bottle.

Blown away. Need another ASAP!
I absolutely ADORE this tote. I am a student/employee/gym-lover and constantly have so. many. things. This is truly the perfect tote. I love how it is comfortable, I can use it as a backpack OR a tote (which is great for being on the metro in mtl!). I adore the bottom section which is perfect for my gym things so they are separate from my school/work things. I love how the bag is horizontal, not vertical, so everything is easily accessible. I love the functionality of the pouch inside for my pens, and the many many pockets!
I have two functionality comments I'd like to see in a Lily tote 3.0:
1) the snap buttons on the front pouch and middle pouch with the key connection are super weak and pop open very easily. This is minorly concerning because my keys are on that chain, and I don't want people to be easily able to access them. I've solved this by shoving my keys far down, but those magnet snaps should be much more secure!
2) I will reiterate what another reviewer left -- the water bottle side pouches are very small. They barely hold bottles, but if they do, they actually dig into the space of the backpack. So you can't have a full backpack + a waterbottle without squishing something. I've solved this by putting my bottles inside the bag instead of outside it, but I would love to see a mesh/elastic/something larger with a drawtie on the outside that enables me to hold 2 bottles (one for my coffee and one for my water).
Overall, this is a women's dream bag. I am delighted to own one and use it every day. I love the functionality, the materials, the fact it is waterproof, and the fact I can hold so many things. Two fixes and this would literally be perfect.
