I bought The Keel plus because I swim and I carry a lot of my body weight from the waist down. I wanted to swim in a less plowing posture. The one I bought has way too much buoyancy, but I carved it down to get it to the amount of buoyancy that was just fine. I used to bread knife and it was fine. Very happy with this product. The added buoyancy is more than a normal pool bouy. You could probably get one of the lesser buoyant models if you’re just looking to use it in the pool.
