Tarn Down Jacket - Men’s

Great Jacket!

Too be honest I bought this jacket after I had already bought the Patagonia Hooded Sweater Jacket during REI’s big sale. It’s a great jacket, though wicked expensive. I got an email from Katabatic and they were having a sale on their jackets. I bought one. Comparing the two side by side they are very similar in fit and puffiness. The Patagonia has a much shinier appearance. The Tarn is this beautiful matte finish. Both black. I tried them both on 20 times. Nearly identical. Sent the Patagonia jacket back and saved a boat load of money.

The BEST

When you want to support a small business that innovates, you want to stand out in a crowd of puffy jackets and, most importantly, have the lightest and warmest down jacket. This is IT. Katabatic never disappoints, but this jacket’s fit, warmth, and quality blew me away. It packs down super small and the fabric is so soft and not clammy when you throw it on in the morning.

Not so great fit

Not sure who put this coat together but I’m a skinny guy and can barely zipper this coat. And the sleeves are extra long. Buyer beware
