Steep and sleek
What is there to say, these are ballet boots. If you don't know, you walk on your toes in them. These are really nice, with speed laces for most of the top half. They are very nice and look amazing. There is one weird thing, the "locking" strap that goes across the top of laces is just Velcro on the one side, so even with a lock on they aren't really "locked", but with how amazing these are, that's a very minor issue.

Absolutely FABULOUS!!
Ever since I saw shoes like this, my heart skipped beat. And when I got them in my collection, it really lifted my life. Beautiful finish. REAL quality.

Beautiful Shoes with POOR 'Design Decisions'
At a distance, these shoes are GORGEOUS. But there are 3 "design decisions" that ultimately led to me deciding to return them. The first is that the strap that the locks secure is held onto the other side of the shoe with Velcro. I knew this from reading other reviews but it's so incredibly disappointing, especially in light of the second "design decision" that rubbed me the wrong way. One side of the tongue in each shoe is STITCHED to the side of the shoe which makes getting the tongue CENTERED downright impossible unless someone else is lacing you into the shoe (which I typically do not). Given that they decided to stitch the tongue to the shoe, they CERTAINLY could have stitched the strap that the lock secures to the shoe as well, right? No. The third "design" decision that I question is the one pertaining to how the shoes are laced up. I get that there isn't a side zipper and it's quicker to get the shoes off if you don't have to unthread the laces through grommets but DANG does it make putting the shoes ON a royal pain in the backside. On the bright side, the shoes do run true to size and, as noted, they're GORGEOUS from a distance. I just wish they'd made better decisions in the DESIGN of the shoe.
