I could understand why there was such a jump in price and demand…this tailgate bike rack is a unique and complete piece of engineering. So many options all available in a tailgate “coat”

Hugh upgrade over what I had and worth the money

I've been using one of the $60 TG pads from Amazon that had good reviews, was durable, and did what it was supposed to do on my 2006 Toyota Tundra , but the bikes would just fall over unless we fashioned some way to keep them upright. Also, it was never possible to position the down tube pad under the down tube. This Race Face solved all of those problems - the DT padding is easily positioned where it needs to be and the outer channels hold the bike perfectly upright. Sure, this one cost 5 x what my old pad cost, but it's 10 x better. Worth ever dollar.

Excellent half pad for two bikes. Don't hesitate to spend the money.
