Four score!

The micro perforated Able filters are fantastic! I first purchased the Able Kone and was very happy with that, so since I have some lovely ceramic pour over devices that use a #4 filter, I decided to get the "Four" also. It has the same function and micro perforations as the Kone, but is just a different shape. Crafted of durable stainless steel, the Able filter delivers a fantastic version of coffee that's in the sweet spot right between French press, and filtered coffee. Compared to paper filtered, it's sweeter and deeper with more oils, but remarkably clear with few fines. I still love properly prepared paper filtered coffee, but sometimes I'm in the mood for something bolder like French press, but this allows me to use my pour over brewing equipment with great results. Easy to clean by tapping out the grounds and rinsing it, while it's still fairly wet.

excellent filter, somewhat short for #4

It may be particular to my brewer's filter holder, but it was about . 5" short of the top of the holder, causing some grounds to overflow past the filter into the brewed coffee! I use medium pre-ground coffee from Fabula (no chaff, even 'sand' like texture) which had no overflow with my brown paper filter-56 grams of coffee. Probably an international difference in measuring on the manufacturers end. . . When i tried again with less grouns,no overflow, less brewed, but delicious!
