Good product, weird smell though

I’ve been using these for years, such a great product for coverage.

Unreliable quality

I searched long and hard for an eco-friendly refillable foundation that was also safe for my sensitive skin. I’ve been ordering Elate foundation for a while, but I sadly am back on the search for another option. I’ve had way too many foundations that are already cracked when I open them (or if not cracked already, crack after I start using it), leaving a giant mess and also me losing chunks of the foundation and making a general giant mess. It also makes it soooo messy if you don’t keep the compact flat and upright, so traveling with it is super messy. I know they say you can dump out the foundation, add a little moisture, and then press back into the compact, which I tried once, but who wants to do that every single time?! It also makes a giant mess and you end up losing product when you do that anyway. I tried giving Elate more chances, but sadly, it seems to have gotten worse where brand new foundation I’ve opened and haven’t even taken out of the original packaging are cracked, and now I deal with foundation powdery mess any time I open up my compact. I wanted to love this, but I think I’m pretty much done and will just finish using my stash before moving on to a different brand.
