Amazingly good flex nib!!
I ordered 3 dual tone flex nibs to replace the nibs in a few pens I use for artwork. What I received were 3 broad nibs. I sent an email to Kevin that evening about the mishap. I didn’t expect to get an email in return for at least a day. To my surprise Kevin sent an email that evening letting me know he would be shipping 3 dual tone flex nibs to me as soon as possible. When they arrived, I washed them, checked the tine gap with a feeler gauge and stuck them in my modified Noodler’s Ahabs. WOW!!!! I started scribbling on my test notebook and started laying down thick, juicy lines of ink. The flex nibs don’t flex as easily as the Ultra flex nibs. But I don’t need them to. I find it’s easier for me to make a consistent line width if I have to apply a consistent amount of heavier pressure than what you need with the ultra flex.
The nibs can make a very thin line with the nib just touching the paper. Or you can go crazy with some heavy pressure and get a line almost as thick as a stub nib. It’s just a great all around nib. Kevin and his dedication is why I keep coming back to FPR for pens and pen parts. You’ll be hard pressed to find any company that is as dedicated to their customers as FPR.
