I should have purchased this years ago. I have it directly over the mattress then the mattress protector. I followed the instructions and washed it before putting it on the bed. I asked my husband to hang it on the line and when I went to bring it in it was full of water around the sides where it doubles up. For this reason I knew it was exactly what I needed.
