Xebec Snap Screen 13"

The Xebec Snap feels sturdy, well-made, and lightweight. There’s still some bulk—because, duh, you’re carrying two additional monitors. The screens are great for office work and general computing. If you bought this for gaming, then that is unfortunate. Cable nonsense is nonexistent. Setup is a breeze. Shockingly, it works pretty much as advertised. You need space behind your laptop for the stand, so it won’t deploy everywhere. The magnets are strong and pull the monitors cleanly onto the alignment pins. My only concern is that they really slam the screens into the dock. Hopefully those pins can take that force repeatedly. Time will tell. Now, the cost: there’s a hefty new-technology/design tax. Right now, I’m happy to pay it. My concern is Version 2. Am I going to look at my perfectly functional Snap and think, “Welp, time to drop another grand on the latest Xebec goodness”? If so, congratulations, Xebec. You’ve turned me into the Xebec Snap equivalent of an Apple fanboy.
