This is my son’s first year of football (13U) and great grandpa said to get him the best helmit in the market. After doing research, we decided on the light apache.
My son measured on the hight end of the youth Medium and we went with that. Good thing we did. It was bit big but after adding the exta padding to fit, it was a great fit and he has room to grow into it. He coud probably used it next year for high school.
Let me tell you, this helmit is light!!
My son thought it looked super big compared to his leagur issued Schutt helmit. But once he put it on and had his first contact he was so happy with it. He said he didn’t feel a thing and his neck wasnt sore because of the weight of the helmit.
I would definitely recommend this helmit. It’s safe, light and doesn’t break the bank!

Awesome product
My son loves his new helmet, we customized it with black matte paint and the all blackout package and special chin strap and accessories. We went all out with the purchase so it got a little pricey but so far it's been worth the investment. My son plays LB and FB, constantly in the mix blocking and hitting. Hasn't complained about any head issues thus far compared to previous seasons with other helmets.

Good youth helmet
A lot more comfortable on my kids head then his old helmet. Only thing I would say is if your kid has a small head the helmets look huge on them. I’m happy with it. 5 stars.
